Fun fact- this is blog post number 300! Wow!

Though there is a Flash function built into Eos, it’s not ideal for my needs in film.  Gaffers and DPs pretty much NEVER want to see a light at an intensity they didn’t set it at, and they LOVE to flash lights.  So instead of Flash, I use:

Shift/Out

Select your channel, press and hold Shift and when you press Out, the light goes to zero.  Better than using the Out button on it’s own because it is temporary and retains the original value of the light, whether it was recorded or not.

The equal opposite is Shift/Full.  Which temporarily brings any selection to Full.
