Mark began his interdisciplinary career as a child actor at age 4. During and after college, he worked in costume shops, scenic shops, and spent years as a sound designer/mixer until finally finding the electrics department.
He was a Production Electrician for shows in all the major theaters in Portland (proud member of IATSE Local 28) while also working as a PSM/Lighting Supervisor in modern dance. He started as a self-taught programmer, learning to be fast while on tour. His deep love and relationships with dance companies allowed him to transition to design positions – his live entertainment career spans Musical Theater, Modern Dance, Circus/Aerial, Illusions, Concert and Corporate Events for major apparel brands. Factory trained on every major console system, Mark became a contract trainer for ETC in 2018. Taking great joy in giving back by paying forward, Mark has been a volunteer mentor to students for more than a decade.
Currently a programmer for Film and TV (Proud member of Local 480), he has worked on End of the Road, Stranger Things Season 4, Coyote vs ACME, Dust, Honey, Don’t!, She Rides Shotgun and Outer Range Season 2.
Mark is also a technical writer, having co-written the manual for Blackout 2.0 as well as manuals for Ben Peoples Designs products Ganymede, Rosalind and Miranda.
