About Me

Mark began his interdisciplinary career as a child actor at age 4. During and after college, he worked in costume shops, scenic shops, and spent years as a sound designer/mixer until finally finding the electrics department. He was a Production Electrician for shows in all the major theaters in Portland (proud member of IATSE Local 28) while also working as a PSM/Lighting Supervisor in modern dance. He started as a self-taught programmer, learning to be fast while on tour. His deep love and relationships with dance companies allowed him to transition to design positions – his career now spans Musical Theater, Modern Dance, Circus/Aerial, Magic, Concert and Corporate Events for major apparel brands. Factory trained on every major console system, Mark became a contract trainer for ETC in 2018. Taking great joy in giving back by paying forward, Mark has been a volunteer mentor to students for more than a decade.

Over the years, with a variety of hats, Mark has worked for and with: Laurie Anderson, Aziz Ansari, Mike Baldassari, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Corey Brunish, Hillary Clinton, Jeff Croiter, Tiffany Haddish, Michael Allen Harrison, Meow Meow, Bebe Miller, Josey Moseley, Ali Wong, 10 Grands Portland and Seattle, Artists Repertory Theater, Bodyvox, Broadway Across America, ETC, Elsinore Theater, Enlightened Theatrics, Eugene Symphony, Fusion Dance, Halcyon Shows, Lakewood Theater, Lane Hunter Dance, Live OnStage, More Than Light, Nike, Night Flight, Northwest Children’s Theater, Oregon Ballet Theater, Oregon Children’s Theater, OneEleven, Outlaw Lighting, Phoenix Entertainment, PICA, Pink Martini, Pixie Dust Productions, Portland 5, Portland Center Stage, Portland Opera, Portland’s Singing Christmas Tree, Portland Taiko, Portland Winter Light Festival, Riverview, Rose Festival, Satis&Fy, Seattle Symphony, Shazam!, Tedx, Whim W’Him, and Workbox.
