I love the Eos function where you can use two color palettes to create a gradient. For me, the classic example is across a cyc. I’ve done it for years and years, but there is one small housekeeping thing you can do to make a remount or tour of your show much easier. Re-assert the original palette on the channels or cells that are the “anchor” colors. Let me show you what I mean.
Here we have a cyc and I’m going to apply a mirrored Purple to Orange gradient. To get all the values in one screen shot, I’m only going to do this across channel 301 since it has 12 cells. 301 Cells Only Offset Mirror In Color palette Purple + Orange Enter. (Typed in as 301. Offset Mirror In Color palette 5091+5011 enter)

I can tell you that 301.1 and 301.12 are the original Purple palette values and 301.6+301.7 are the original values for the Orange palette. If we are ever planning on this show returning (and one never knows), or if this show is going on tour, it would be much easier to replace these fixtures if the house inventory or the rental company changes if we knew the original palettes these values came from. It’s easy to do.
301.1+301.12 Color Palette Purple Enter.
301.6+301.7 Color Palette Orange Enter.

Obviously, if the inventory trades out, you’ll need to re-apply the same commands that created the gradient in the first place. But at least you know which ones to use. There are other ways to solve the problem, but this one is my favorite so far.
