I had totally forgotten about this key combo until recently. Shift/Sneak allows you to take manual values and make them temporarily un-manual. Why would you want that? Think “temporary work light” or “your Gaffer/DP/Designer HAS to see lights NOW that you know cannot be stored in the current cue that you are still editing. Select the channels, Shift/Sneak and they can’t be recorded using Update or Record Only. But beware of Record. It will still capture those values.
Whenever I’m teaching someone how to do something in Eos, I always teach them to undo or get rid of something. Select the channels and touch Make Manual and press Enter. Now you can update or release the values using Shift/Sneak again.
Not sure if this is a long-awaited tool for you or just a “huh” moment. But the more we know…the better.
