    Estoy contigo en la necesidad de hablar en un lenguaje común. llevo aproximadamente 4 años en esto, y como tú, también vengo del mundo del entretenimiento en vivo. Con mi gaffer actual, que llevo 5 proyectos casi seguidos, hemos encontrado una forma de pedir las cosas, tal como canales, aparatos y creo que tanto él como yo, nos hemos adaptado el uno al otro. Incluso al hacer encendidas, rápidamente explico los pasos que deberíamos dar para hacer las grabaciones pertinentes. Pero entiendo que hay una gran diferencia entre los dos trabajos, en vivo y películas..

      I think that you and I both benefit from working with the same gaffer so we can build common terms and working methods. I think these common terms are mostly for people who end up with different gaffers/DPs on each job. So there’s a lot of confusion adapting to a new working process and person, and anything that can make things clearer is good. Or I hope it is!

      I always struggle with how much to accommodate to my gaffer. With me and designers, I felt like we had much more of a basis for communication. It also helps I designed for decades. But I’ve never been a gaffer, so I’m often guessing.
