I have been using my portable setup on a small movie I’m working on. (Click HERE for the walkthrough on my setup.) It uses a CMDkeys keyboard for input and a nanokontrol2 for faders. (Click HERE for the tutorial on setting up the faders with show cockpit.) During prep, I set up my cart with the pelican case/Nomad setup behind a 60% gaming keyboard I use to label things. All was well until I noticed I was in a cue…and I shouldn’t have been. I had (obviously) touched the space bar and it had rolled a cue. That was not going to work for my production. Thankfully, the nanokontrol2 in my setup has a “Play” button I hadn’t assigned yet. It was easy to go into Showcockpit and assign the Play button to become a go command. Here is the OSC command you need to trigger go on the main cue list:
/eos/key/go_0
After that, go to Setup>Device>Face Panel>Spacebar [Go] and set it to Off.
